Our Curriculum Philosophy

Froebel Cambridge Preschool - Curriculum Philosophy

We have designed our curriculum at Froebel Cambridge Preschool with attention and care. We have been inspired by Friedrich Froebel and Dr. Maria Montessori's timeless wisdom while embracing the progressive spirit of India’s NEP 2020.

We are focused on bringing up curious minds, encouraging independence, and guiding our children to grow into kind, optimistic individuals.

Through hands-on discovery, inventive play, and real-world connections, we are making learning more joyful, meaningful, and pleasing for every child.

Curriculum Highlights

Key Curriculum Highlights

  1. 1 Purposeful Play & Experiential Learning

Influenced by Froebel’s philosophy, we believe in learning through enthusiastic play. Children grow and develop in thoughtfully prepared environments where they are free to explore, observe, imagine, and create, developing necessary skills through hands-on experiences.

  2. 2 Individualized & Child-Led Approach

Embedded in Montessori principles, we provide children with the freedom to explore and learn at their speed, motivating independence and responsibility. Carefully chosen materials guide their focus, promote curiosity, and support slow, meaningful growth.

  3. 3 5E Learning Framework Integration

We combine the dynamic 5E Model into our daily teaching at Froebel Cambridge Preschool.
Engage - We bring our children’s interest through playful stories, rhymes, questions, and real-life scenes that light their imagination.
Explore - We make our children explore things by touching, testing, and investigating. They learn through active discovery and meaningful exploration.
Explain - Our professional and dedicated teaching team supports every child using different learning tools - visual tools, demonstration, storytelling.
Elaborate - We make learning more engaging in an extended form by using theme-based projects, creative problem-solving, and activities that are connected with all the subjects in a fun manner.
Evaluate - Our teachers use thoughtful observations and gentle reflection in knowing and understanding each child’s growth, milestones, and individual progress.

  4. 4 Strong Foundation in Literacy & Numeracy

Keeping in mind the NEP’s focus on Foundational Literacy & Numeracy (FLN), we support and help our children in developing core skills in learning, writing, reading and math through engaging them in age appropriate methods like - phonics based learning, number games, problem solving activities card. Our foremost goal is to make learning fun, meaningful, and lasting.

  5. 5 Thematic & Cross-Curricular Learning

The thematic approach brings together math, language, art, environmental awareness, and sensorial experiences. These help children make meaningful connections across different subjects.

  6. 6 Montessori & Froebel Inspired Learning Aids

We mix Montessori materials with Froebel’s classic “gifts of learning” to create a rich experience that will build logical thinking, spatial understanding, and tactile awareness. We are making the learning process purposeful and meaningful.

  7. 7 Skills for the 21st Century

Children tend to engage in group projects, imaginative play, and design-based activities, where they tend to develop critical thinking, leadership, and effective communication.

  8. 8 Character Building & Social Learning

To help the children develop empathy, patience, self-regulation, and respect for other beings, we essentially bring storytelling, cooperative play into their daily routines.

  9. 9 Multilingual Foundations

Keeping in mind the NEP’s vision for multilingual competence, we introduce our children to regional, English, and other additional languages through songs and visual aids.

  10. 10 Dynamic Learning Spaces

We have different specialized zones in the school for literacy, numeracy, pretend play, discovery, and creative expression. We encourage our children to be independent and engaged.

  11. 11 Ready for Every Learning Journey Ahead

The curriculum that we have integrated will help develop strong foundations - cognitively, socially, and emotionally. Our children will be able to transition confidently into any advanced environment with flexibility, strength, and a genuine passion for learning and growth.
